Two Key Visitors to Yara Phosyn
On Friday 19th October, Arne Cartridge, Chief Communications Officer of Yara International based in Oslo, visited our Pocklington Site to gain a feel for how we do business with a view to using this in Yara's communication strategy. It was also an opportunity for Yara Phosyn Ltd (YPH) to raise it's profile both inside and outside Yara.
Arne’s day commenced with an introduction to YPH, its history and development and a view to the future. A full tour followed with visits to the Analytical Laboratories, the Glasshouses and Production along with Quality Control.
Following this Arne made a review of Yara’s Communication and Corporate & Social Responsibility (C&SR) strategies which he gave to an audience of invited YPH Managers.
Following lunch, presentations were made to Arne on two of the most successful and rapidly growing markets for YaraVita™ products in Germany and South East Asia.
An overview of the new and rapidly developing areas of IT/IS systems, including Megalab™ and it’s integration into Yara-interactive(i), was followed by a review of YPH’s strategy for developing the YaraVita™ brand within Yara’s Portfolio Approach.
Finally the C&SR initiative, “Farming For Health”, was presented followed by concluding discussions on the day’s events.
This auspicious visit was considered very timely and relevant to our integration and alignment and gave Arne strong impressions of the capabilities and competencies of the people within YPH for a successful future within Yara.
Earlier in the week, on Wednesday 17th October, Jeremy Prew who is Business Manager Nitrogen Chemicals with Yara Industrial UK, made a visit to make a presentation to the Quarterly Commercial Managers (QCM) meeting of YPH Business Managers.
The presentation was aimed at increasing YPH's understanding of "The Yara World" and to give an insight into Yara's overall business and the opportunities within it.
The main focus of Jeremy's talk was an anti-pollution product called Air1™ which is an additive to fuel for the elimination of Nitrous Oxide (NOX) emissions from the heavy diesel engines of trucks, locomotives and ships.
