YaraVita™ Products to the Forefront
Two conferences on micronutrients in the space of one month is a reflection of the increasing awareness and attention now being applied to these essential nutrients both for crop growth and quality as well as human (and animal) health. Both were attended by Dr. Kevin Moran, Yara Phosyn Ltd´s Director of Technical Services.
The first of these conferences, Zinc Crops 2007, was held in Istanbul, Turkey between 24th and 26th May and a poster was presented as a joint technical production between Yara Phosyn Ltd, UK and Yara Hanninghof, Germany. This focused on the array of different products and applications available from Yara for the treatment of zinc deficiency in crops globally, and their use to improve the dietary quality and contribution of crops or food produced from them.
The second, Tracel 2007: Challenges in Food Chain Quality, was held in Helsinki, Finland on the 18th, 19th and 20th June, focusing on improving food chain quality using trace element (a.k.a. micronutrient) products on food crops.
The poster presented here placed the emphasis yet again on the range of micronutrient products and treatments available from Yara to increase the health giving and dietary qualities of food crops - a process called "agro-fortification" by Yara.
As well as raising the profile of Yara and the application of it´s products within the industry, these events provided many opportunities to network with scientists, academics and researchers whose focus is upon appropriate and balanced applications of all fertilizer nutrients to sustain the future production of quality crops and secure the food supply.
Both posters are available from louise.crozier@yara.com in a format which can be enlarged to full size for display and promotional purposes. Reduced quality PDF samples of the posters can be downloaded below.
