Phosyn Products show their worth again
Trials results from France and Canada have recently been received which demonstrate once again the effectiveness of Phosyn applications.
In France in an independent replicated trial (see graph), Pholex Cu gave a 4.8% increase in the yield of wheat. Pholex Cu contains 150 grammes per litre Phosyn complexed copper and was applied as a foliar spray at just 1 litre per hectare during mid to late tillering.
In the same trial Phosyn´s Thiotrac 340, containing 340 grammes per litre sulphur, produced an even larger increase of 7.8%. Thiotrac 340 was sprayed at 5 litres per hectare at the start of flowering.
In Canada excellent responses were obtained on wheat and oilseed rape (canola).
In many situations seed treatment offers a practical solution to micronutrient problems and Phosyn has huge experience in this area with its range of seed treatment products sold under the ´Teprosyn´ brand. Using a formulation containing zinc and phosphorus, applied at only 5 litres per tonne of seed, the yield of wheat was increased by 8.6%.
A staggering 21.7% increase in the yield of oilseed rape was achieved using
Bortrac 150. Soil analysis showed the site to be deficient in boron (0.9 ppm) so treatment was carried out using 10 litres per hectare as a soil application before sowing.
