Phosyn Canada / Yara - Prince Edward Island Field Day 2005
Another successful gathering of the potato producers "Maximum Economic Yield" club, on Prince Edward Island, during the 3rd week of July, was realized. In the photograph below a field sign is placed at the sight of a field trial, indicating the fertilizer inputs, potato variety, planting date, and the purpose of the trial.
This particular site is an irrigation/fertigation trial where Marie-Laure Girard from the Yara research facility in Hanninghof, Germany, spoke on the relationships of nutrient uptake by the plant root system, soil moisture levels, and how the root system actually takes up nutrients by mass flow, diffusion or interception.
This type of information is what the growers are demanding from Phosyn, especially in the landscape of today´s agriculture, and we are meeting the demands of the farmers with help from our Alliance Partners. Phosyn has gained brand recognition in this market by the comprehensive way in which agronomic information is given, resulting in the economic effects the potato producers see on their own farms.
We now need to take the next step, and not only in the Atlantic Market of Eastern Canada. Farmers in all markets across the country and in all crop sectors are leaning on industry more than ever, for reliable agronomic information that will work on their farms and their business operations. We need to bring them the knowledge behind the Alliance Partnership, which will make them successful.
Special Thanks to Marie-Laure Girard (Yara) for her excellent contribution and to Wilf Kelly (Phosyn) for organizing yet another successful event.
