Marketing Meeting 2005
The Alliance Partnership component of Phosyn´s Marketing Meeting (MM) 2005 took place on the 23 and 24 June at The Londesborough Arms Hotel, located within a few kilometres of the Company´s Headquarters in Pocklington.
We were delighted to have with us 16 delegates from Yara and 5 from SQM (and Dr Tarsa) which is a quantum increase on last June´s MM 2004. Altogether 17 countries were represented at the MM 2005!
The theme of Phosyn´s MM 2005 was taken from the Yara Specialities Seminar in Lillestroem, near Oslo, in February being.. "The complete plant nutrition concept.. matched with crop and application competence".. providing a clear message of continuity and cohesion for the developing Alliance Partnership.
Contributions were made by delegates from all the Partners and covered topics as varied as Future Perspectives and Strategies; Financial and Market Performances; Branding and Promotion; Ongoing Market Integrations; New Products; and Phosyn´s "Jewel in the Crown", the union of Laboratory Analysis with the new Megalab.net, which will be progressively implemented in the months ahead. Notably a key feature of the proceedings was the strong emergence of "Farming for Health" which Thorleif Enger, CEO of Yara Specialities, has highlighted as a "Project for the Future" with a growing and more affluent global population demanding food of a higher nutritional and dietary value. This is one of the greatest challenges which the Alliance Partnership faces now and in the future.
At the MM 2005 Dinner on the Thursday evening, all delegates enjoyed the traditional dish of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and received a special gift of a lead glass paper weight (see top left) celebrating the Alliance Partners being together once again.
I would like to thank all delegates for being there and for seamlessly combining their skills, vision and competences with those of Phosyn to mark what was undoubtedly a very successful event and yet another important "milestone" in the development of our very special relationship - together we are stronger!
