Don´t let the grass grow under your feet
Despite the continued low milk and meat prices for farmers, Grasstrac sales have grown by 34% in the UK this year. The product is sold through about 100 distributors ranging from national companies to ´one-man´ businesses as well as arable agronomists who welcome the opportunity to sell to livestock farmers during their quieter winter months.
In 2004 Phosyn exhibited Grasstrac at the European Dairy Event; the English and Scottish National Sheep events and at a very busy new Beef show in the southwest.
A highly successful AgriScot event rounded off our exhibition season during which much new interest was created and many satisfied customers were keen to relate the benefits of using Grasstrac on their farms.
Phosyn were co-sponsors of the British Grassland Society Tour which was based at Askham Bryan College and visited many Yorkshire farms including a 550 dairy cow unit where Tom Blair gave a presentation.
Tom also shared the platform at the Cornwall Grassland Challenge Conference with distinguished academic, research and advisory workers. Phosyn and Yara UK were the only commercial companies invited to give presentations at this prestigious event. Collaboration with Hybu Cig Cymru, a Welsh Government sponsored organisation to promote meat and livestock, resulted in a presentation to a leading farm focus group in Pembrokeshire.
