Get the full picture with broad spectrum soil analysis

In a recent UK enquiry an oilseed rape (canola) grower called Phosyn to report very poor pod set in his crop. While a soil analysis had been carried out, a limited number of nutrients had been analysed with the basic soil test covering phosphorus, potassium and magnesium only. On receiving the enquiry, Phosyn Labs ran a broad spectrum analysis on the sample looking at all fundamental plant nutrients including micro-nutrients.

Boron was found to be "Very Low" from the MEGALAB.net report and Bortrac 150 would have been recommended to combat the low soil levels and give improved pod set.

By limiting soil analysis to a basic level fundamental deficiencies can easily be missed causing serious consequences later in season as illustrated here. For a minor cost broad spectrum analysis can be the difference between success and failure.

Contact Phosyn for more information on the use of analysis and MEGALAB.net.
