Stopit Out-Performs Competitors
Four different calcium products were tested in an independent trial with HortResearch in New Zealand in 2001. Ravensdown Fertilizer Co-operative Ltd, who commissioned the trial, published the results in the November issue of The Orchardist magazine.
The four different calcium products were each sprayed twelve times at fourteen day intervals starting fourteen days after full bloom and continuing until one day before commercial harvest onto Braeburn apples.
The results show Stopit to be the best performing product in the trial at controlling external and internal bitter pit.
