Phosyn´s new Australian analytical laboratory, namely Phosyn Analytical, was launched in early September, 2001 which further demonstrated Phosyn global commitment to chemical analysis as a fundamental component of its business plan.
The launch provided an ideal platform to showcase Phosyn´s extensive capabilities both globally and more specifically to the Australasian market.
A hand selected group of around 50 key Australasian agribusiness clients were invited to the launch function where they were given the opportunity to see the new state of the art laboratory in action in addition to informative demonstrations relating formulation of Phosyn products.
Detailed laboratory tours
A focal point of the day centred around a set of detailed laboratory tours, carried out by Analytical Services manager, Mark Ridings which gave the delegates an opportunity to observe the elaborate passage of a sample from its initial receipt, through the various analytical stages to final Megalab reporting to the client.
After the laboratory tours, Dr Geoff Adams gave the delegates a product formulation demonstration which featured the many technical aspects, important to the manufacture of Phosyn products. The demonstrations highlighted the often-underestimated physical and chemical challenges posed during the formulation of Phosyn products from raw materials.
Presentations and cocktail reception
After the laboratory tours, the Phosyn Australasian Management team SR Howse, Dale McIntosh, Mark Ridings together with UK speakers Dr Geoff Adams and John Brooks, gave a series of presentations to the delegates at a prominent Gold Coast Hotel which captured the essence of the Phosyn package, adding value through linkage of the synergies between chemical analysis with agronomic expertise and marketing. Dr Adams formally launched the laboratory during his speech titled ´The importance of Analysis´.
The evening concluded with a cocktail reception and evening buffet. Feedback from the delegates was very positive and the success of the day reflected the professionalism and high standard of the Phosyn Australian operation.
The laboratory is now firmly established in the Australian agribusiness marketplace and is currently servicing many requests through its plant tissue and fruit/fruitlet schedules to meet requests arising from the highly active Australian crop season.
