Mantrac 500 outperforms manganese nitrate
In an independent, replicated trial carried out in 2000 on potatoes, Mantrac 500 was applied in comparison to manganese nitrate. The trial carried out in the Netherlands looked at 5 applications of manganese nitrate at 1 l/ha and 5 applications of Mantrac 500 at 0.5 l/ha.
Both manganese treatments gave statistically significant yield increases over the untreated control.
Manganese nitrate gave an increase of 24% over the control.
Mantrac 500 resulted in a further 8 tonnes/hectare, 40% higher than the control. The Mantrac 500 programme gave a yield increase statistically significant compared to both the untreated control and the manganese nitrate.
