Soil Applications - Impregnation

Currently available options for trace element treatment of fertilisers.

1) "Off the shelf" trace element enriched fertilisers. But there are problems because..... these are not widely available and do not allow any flexibility of approach either in choice of trace elements or application rate.

2) Granular incorporaration of granular trace elements. Although more flexible, this approach also poses problems because..... at the rates normally recommended (up to 200 lbs trace element product per ton of fertiliser) only 10% of the final fertiliser mix contains trace element. Or put another way, only 10 fertiliser granules in 100 will contain any trace element.

Granular incorporation is also susceptible to segregation, due to particle size and density variations. This can occur during transport, handling or application and all will reduce the eveness of field application; not only along the width of the spread but also in the direction of travel.

IMPREG solves the problem

IMPREG means highly consistent and uniform application of trace elements onto any granular fertiliser whether straight, compound or blended. Described simply the fertiliser is sprayed with one of our liquid trace element products and every granule therefore becomes "IMPREGNATED". The IMPREG system offers total flexibility, since the choice of trace element and rate of application can be adapted to suit any situation.
